The Catcher in the Rye

Holden Caulfield is a teenage boy who gets expelled from school. He leaves early for New York, where he spends several days wandering around the city and meeting different people. He feels lonely and often thinks about his childhood and his dead brother, Allie. His younger sister Phoebe is very important to him. In the end, Holden begins to understand that he cannot simply run away from his problems.
